Amy and Scott provided excellent service. Amy went over all the details and explained everything to us. They arranged everything and were accommodating and respectful to my mother’s wishes. The service was handled professionally and Amy provided excellent communication to guides us through the process. They eased the burden and helped us during this trying time.

Scott and Amy Schmidt coordinated a wonderful celebration of my Dad's life yesterday. From the planning stage through the funeral itself, they guided my Mom and our family through all of the details with patience and compassion. They made a very overwhelming and sad event, calm and enjoyable. We are very appreciative of their great service!

Amy handled the passing of my grandfather beautifully. I greatly appreciate her professionalism and attention to detail. Because of her hard work, we were able to give him the goodbye he deserved. Thank you so much Amy!

Recently was in WI attending to the estate of my mother who passed in June 2020. Went through the choices with their representative and the experience was good for that bit. Following that, there was a delay in cremation (not unexpected considering the times) however, it was made perfectly clear multiple times that I wanted to be present for the cremation itself.--I even stayed in town (I'm from WA state) to wait until she could be cremated. I did not want her to be alone. Well, needless to say, I got a call on Monday (even though I had talked to them literally on Friday about being there when they cremated her) and was told she was cremated and that I could pick up the ashes. They also told me they would order extra copies of the death certificate and only provided me 2. I was specifically assured it shouldn't be a problem. I had to pay $60 more to have the county rush more to me. When it comes to funeral care, you only get one chance to get things right. It literally requires one singular thing, be detail-oriented and compassionate. I can say they were compassionate and nice but failed miserably in the thorough category and never addressed the screw up when I politely brought it up after they e-mailed me the bill.

How honors are coordinated

Military funeral honors are guaranteed at no cost for any veteran discharged under conditions other than dishonorable. The funeral home arranges the honors detail by contacting the deceased's last unit or the nearest active-duty installation of the appropriate branch and submitting the DD-214 to verify eligibility.

For requests less than 72 hours from service time, families can call the Department of Defense's expedited honors line at 1-877-MIL-HONR (1-877-645-4667). See the full honors protocol.
