For families with VA benefits questions

We are not able to answer specific eligibility, benefit, or claim questions about individual veterans. That work is done by the Department of Veterans Affairs and by Veterans Service Officers (VSOs) at no charge. The fastest paths:

• National Cemetery Scheduling Office: 1-800-535-1117 · 24/7 for active funeral arrangements

• Local Veterans Service Officer: Find one at your local VFW, American Legion, AMVETS, DAV, or county Veterans Affairs office. They file claims and appeals at no charge.

Corrections to a specific page

We welcome corrections to funeral home, cemetery, or article pages. To make the correction process fast and accurate, please include:

• The URL of the page (e.g., /cemetery/alabama-national-cemetery-montevallo-al).
• The specific fact you believe is incorrect, quoted from the page.
• The correct fact, with a source citation if available (VA.gov page, official cemetery website, state veterans affairs department, or similar primary source).
• Your name and a contact email if you would like a response.

Funeral homes — listing requests, updates, and removals

Funeral homes do not pay to appear in this directory. To request a listing update, an addition to your home's veteran-services description, or a removal, please include:

• Your home's full name, city, and state.
• The change you would like reflected (services, hours, pricing, ownership, removal).
• A contact at the home that we can verify against (typically the funeral director's email).
