After our mom unexpectedly passed away, our family had to scramble to find a funeral home to have her services. Not having a specific funeral home our family uses, we met with a few different places. Everybody seemed incredible, but Becvar and Son stood out to all of us. From the second we met them they were kind, genuine, and not pushy in the slightest. We told them we had a couple other meetings and they were more than understanding. After the meetings, we decided to go with Becvar. It’s a family owned funeral home, and every single member of the family is kind, genuine, caring and accommodating. They showed the utmost respect to our mom, and gave her a service more beautiful than we ever could have imagined. Everything is clean! The coffee was great! There was plenty of parking and plenty of room inside for the service. They walked us through an incredibly difficult process with kindness and patience, and treated us like family. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Becvar and Son, for giving our mom the service she deserved.

Our father passed away suddenly on Friday night. Both of my parents are parishioners of the Incarnation Catholic Church, which is few minutes down the street. Per word of mouth, Becvar & Son was recommended to our mother. We connected with the funeral home on Friday night, met Saturday 9AM. By 2PM on Saturday, all the logistics for the prayer cards, wake, flowers, obituary, cemetery logistics, picture presentation, along with video slideshow were completed. Dave provided quick and direct responses to all queries and concerns in regards to the items listed above. Dave was very flexible and patient with creating a wonderful obituary. Such a quick turnaround allowed our family to focus on creating a warm and detailed visual display during the wake. Especially since the funeral was planned for Tuesday, 4 days after death. I think the most important part is the mortician. After our father passed away from cancer, our mother was concerned for open casket. When we visited our father during the wake, he looked warm, there was color in his skin, he looked like himself. As heartbreaking as it was, it was also amazing. The wake was beautiful, our family was very pleased. We were given access before our entry time, and did not feel rushed to leave. It was a very family oriented environment. On the the day of the funeral, each immediate family driver was given a # place card, 1 through 6, where our mom was in 1st car, etc... this allowed for smooth, and non-eventful procession. After the funeral services were over, we were able to access the extra flowers for our dad's grave. While we were loading the flowers, Becvar & Son provided a bag where all the extra prayer card, sympathy cards, thank you card, sympathy booklet, along with a large cross that was hanging inside the coffin while it was open. Our mother was very happy with the items received. Becvar & Son made our family feel welcome, they provided perfect atmosphere to sendoff our dad. We strongly recommend them, and are very thankful.

As I'm writing this, my mom passed away 8 days ago. As everybody knows, death is devastating and not an easy process (especially when it comes to their mom). I can't say enough good things about Becvar. They are such genuine, kind, patient, and understanding people. They truly went above and beyond for my family and I. When the unfortunate circumstance of death inflicts a loved one of yours, I hope you choose Becvar to take care of them and you as well. They were so respectful and honoring of my mom. Although I feel as if my world has collapsed, Becvar helps to bring comfort and solace during this troubling time. Please go to them when the time calls for it. They are wonderful people. Thank you, Becvar. God bless you all.

Frank, Julie, Dave and Terry were absolutely amazing! They were just the angels I needed to guide us through every little detail. I love that they only have one wake at a time which leaves plenty of room because the layout is wonderful! Also, there is a ton of space in the kitchen for any snacks/food brought in. I will be forever grateful for their kindness and highly recommend them. Thank you very much.

How honors are coordinated

Military funeral honors are guaranteed at no cost for any veteran discharged under conditions other than dishonorable. The funeral home arranges the honors detail by contacting the deceased's last unit or the nearest active-duty installation of the appropriate branch and submitting the DD-214 to verify eligibility.

For requests less than 72 hours from service time, families can call the Department of Defense's expedited honors line at 1-877-MIL-HONR (1-877-645-4667). See the full honors protocol.
