“My wife's family has used the services of Will & Schwarzkoff for many years. When out son passed away on his travel back to Michigan for cancer treatments we contacted these people. They were honest and straight forward in out dealing with them. I may never use their service again but I do recommend them to care for your family members. THANK YOU for your wonderful care of our family.”

“we just met with Bob to help with our mothers services- he was such a blessing. He walked us though the entire horrible experience. He was caring, honest and full of grace while we asked a TON of questions. He also gladly took care of every detail that we hadn't even thought of- We never felt rushed and he explained the various options to us and never made us feel like we were a bother. My family will be forever grateful for him- THANK YOU”

“As a lifetime member of W&S Meaning that is where most of my past family had their funerals at, only because it was the only one around back in the day. I am sharing here as a guest and not even a family member either. But when I entered the doors, I was greeted by this woman sitting in a chair, whom might be a Schwartzkoff herself? First thing I observed, was that it was ungodly hot in there. 🥵 Very uncomfortable atmosphere already and I had high anxiety with even showing up, due to having flash backs and triggers from when my mother and grandmother etc. unfortunately had a service there. So I had to excuse myself and this same woman asks me while I'm going out the door. "can I help you?" I politely and quietly respond that "I am here for the viewing of Mike Alessi. I just need to get some air, due to feeling emotional." And she then has the audacity to tell me well hurry up and that they're closing soon! 😱 Like this is Walmart! 🤷🤦 I politely and respectfully responded back by saying, "I know!" And then proceeded to go outside. Later on, I observed the same woman being rude and not accomodating towards the deceased - Mother, when she simply just asked her a question about the flowers. Not to mention the woman later felt that it was also necessary for her to impatiently wheel out of the room a podium, in which she did run into guests and replied that "sorry this is hard to steer!" Well maybe don't move it until the family/guests who are paying their last respects has left then! 🤔 After that I opted to just respectfully leave in disgust, and that wasn't the first time I had a negative experience with W&S and I didn't leave a review before, until now. I believe IMO W&S is an old time funeral home. Where they haven't had an addition or upgrade in decades! They have the smallest sitting room downstairs that isn't handicapped accessible! Nothing has changed inside or out! I'm sure it has been lucrative for the W&S family though. 🤑 I believe that the Schwartzkoff family needs to hang it up! IMO! There are far better more accommodating, RESPECTFUL and PATIENT funeral homes to go to. My new go to funeral home for now on and I highly recommend, is just a half a mile away from W&S called Kaatz/Hamilton funeral home in Mount clemens. Where they have spent the money to renovate and upgrade their whole beautiful funeral home. Not to mention they have the biggest, comfortable fellowship sitting room around that I've seen. Where it is CONVENIENT for the family to have a wake right after the service from. So if you're looking for a funeral home who will go out of their way to accommodate your family and guests with tact and respect at your most difficult time. Then I highly recommend Kaatz funeral home. Caveat Emptor "Buyer beware!" So to speak if you choose W&S IMO! 😁”

“I’m typing this review as I’m leaving my dear family member’s service and I would leave this establishment a “0” star review if I could. Day 1 (visitation) started off with a very rude woman unlocking the back door reprimanding us for being early. When noticing we had refreshments for the lobby the woman again scolded us saying that food and drinks weren’t allowed upstairs without directing us to an appropriate area for the items. During visitation hours, the same woman was posted at the front door knitting a personal project but was not seen greeting, welcoming, or directing anyone to the proper area of the funeral home. Throughout the day, the funeral staff also patrolled the premises harassing those that had bottled water in their possession. Many guests mentioned the overt rudeness of the staff at Will & Schwarzkoff. How embarrassing! Day 2 (service) was appalling. Again, the staff member was placed at the door but did not greet or direct the grieving guests to the parlor. Following the service, the staff were quick to announce that guests were expected to exit the building immediately after viewing the casket. As family members and guests exited the funeral home, the door attendant LOCKED the door to ensure nobody walked back into the building and abruptly directed individuals to vacate the porch area/premises. The behavior of Will & Schwarzkoff is shameful, not to mention disrespectful to grieving friends and family members. The lack of empathy and professionalism was insulting to the final memories of the deceased. If you wish to have warm final memories of your loved one, this is NOT the establishment for you.”

“If I could rate this no stars I would the director bob (older guy white hair) was awful me and my sister have never planned a funeral before and he acted like we were suppose to know what to do without any explanation of anything. He also asked us why we waited so long? (Almost a week) apparently that’s to long to decide to have a funeral. Sorry we were shopping around different places since Saturday the day she died. He did not sell us at all about anything.”
