Organizing a service alone during the holidays is heartbreaking. Morgan and the staff at Warren-McElwain were such a blessing and I can’t speak any higher of their professionalism and kindness during such a difficult time. They guided me through decisions and practically held my hand as I blindly made choices that I hoped were the best for my family. Thank you to the whole staff who helped me without judgement and showed patience beyond expectation.

We were very pleased with Warren-McElwain Mortuary on how they handled the arrangements for us during our difficult time. They were very kind, courteous and thoughtful during our time of grief. Kudos to Michael Wooden on handling our preplanning arrangements and guiding us through our selections. Kudos also go to Lisa Manley and Michael Carl for directing the funeral and in keeping us informed and helping along the way. Kudos also to the office staff for their work from behind the scenes. Warren-McElwain are very professional and have exemplary service and come highly recommended.

As much as we do not want to be at a funeral as it equals a death of a loved in, we had the privilege to to use Warren for my father’s celebration of life. Michael also helped us when I lost my sister there. He’s always respectful of the grief we are experiencing and he patiently always answers all our questions directly to from his mobile. Thank you for making things go so smooth during this hard time. We appreciate all that you and your team did for us to celebrate my father’s journey to the spiritual world! Aya Patterson

If there can be anything 'easy' about making arrangements after the death of your loved one, it's using Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Lisa and all the staff here are so kind and compassionate. They truly help make this process as smooth as can be and they go above and beyond for you and your loved one. I will never go anywhere else for something so important.

How honors are coordinated

Military funeral honors are guaranteed at no cost for any veteran discharged under conditions other than dishonorable. The funeral home arranges the honors detail by contacting the deceased's last unit or the nearest active-duty installation of the appropriate branch and submitting the DD-214 to verify eligibility.

For requests less than 72 hours from service time, families can call the Department of Defense's expedited honors line at 1-877-MIL-HONR (1-877-645-4667). See the full honors protocol.
