“Wonderful! Everyone was so helpful from the first initial phone call to the funeral service. Steve Yancey and the whole staff couldn't have been more kind. Everything was explained thoroughly and all our questions were answered. Katie Dunkel went through all the options with us and was very accommodating. We had a private family viewing and they fixed up my dad perfectly. I was happy to have that be my last viewing of him because it gave me some peace seeing my dad so peaceful. Steve Yancey was there during the viewing to help us with anything we needed. He was also at the funeral service and helped guide things along. We had a military funeral at the Houston National Cemetery and it was done respectfully and wonderfully. I highly recommend Waltrip Funeral Directors.”
“My 1 year old daughter recently passed away suddenly & unexpectedly. Leaving myself & my entire family in so much grief & pain. From the moment I spoke with Ms. Elizabeth Gallegos on the phone, it just felt right. Upon visiting in person, Elizabeth made the entire process of arranging our baby girls services SEAMLESS. It put me at so much peace while navigating this difficult & confusing time . She & the entire Waltrip team are a God send. I’m so grateful for all who helped my babygirl. If I could give 10 stars I would . I’m forever thankful & would recommend to anyone who wants their loved ones in compassionate & gentle care . Thank you a million times.”
“I lost my only child unexpectedly on September 7, 2024. Devastated, I didn’t know what to do or where to start. I can’t fully express my gratitude for everyone at Waltrip Funeral Directors. From the very first phone call, they were incredibly caring and attentive to our every need. Each detail we discussed was remembered and handled with great care and thoughtfulness. Elizabeth stayed in close contact with us, providing updates and guidance throughout the entire process, which gave me a deep sense of comfort during such an excruciatingly painful time. Even though my son was no longer with me, I knew he was in compassionate, capable hands. Every meeting, phone call, and email was conducted with such patience, sensitivity, and kindness, helping us navigate what felt like an unmanageable situation. The gentle way Elizabeth and her team guided us through everything will never be forgotten. Thank you for ensuring my beloved son, Logan, was honored and cared for in every way possible.”
“The staff at Waltrip goes beyond the call of duty to make sure your needs are met. Big thanks to Steve and Elizabeth you guys are the best.”
“Planning a funeral while grieving a loved one is very difficult. Waltrip Funeral Directors took care of all the details and made the experience a dignified remembrance of our loved one. Special thanks to the compassionate and caring staff.”
