I am here to tell you this is the best place to take your loved ones. My mother passed away this morning leaving us feeling lost and despondent. My husband found the Walton Funeral Home and told me it had good reviews. I called and the person who answered was calm and sweet. She helped me through the initial process. Then we were almost immediately called by Frank who arranged to pick up my mom. Marlon then called me to arrange the appointment and after we arrived- that is when they made us feel at home. I have heard that funeral services are there to support the survivors- and everyone at Walton Funeral Home did that with aplomb. My father and I felt welcome, all of our questions were answered with kindness and dignity and they went above and beyond to make us feel safe and heard. I left there feeling like I had found two friends rather than had visited a business. I knew my mom was in the best hands and even though I had a good cry - after leaving I felt elated knowing she would be protected and cared for. I cannot recommend the Walton Funeral Home enough. If you have lost a loved one- this is the place to go to be seen, heard, cared for, and to walk away knowing your loved ones are being treated with the utmost respect and care. Thank you to Marlon and the whole team for making a horrible day into one of peace and comfort. We will never forget you and I am certain my mom is smiling down on all of you with gratitude. Bless you and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Losing a loved one is never easy, but this funeral home made an incredibly difficult time so much more manageable. From the very beginning, their compassionate and professional team guided me through every step of the process with care, patience, and understanding. They took the time to ensure everything was handled smoothly, allowing me to focus on honoring my mother’s memory without added stress. Every detail was taken care of with the utmost respect, and they truly went above and beyond to provide the best outcome for my family. I am forever grateful for their kindness, support, and the dignified service they provided. If you are ever in need of a funeral home that genuinely cares, I highly recommend Walton Funeral Home. They made all the difference in my time of need.

It feels weird leaving you about something like this, but I chose Walton funeral home because of the reviews. I knew that when I lost my mom, I wanted to look for a place that didn’t feel like a business or transactional. Walton’s Funeral home was exactly what I was looking for. Frank and his staff were warm and made my family feel comforted throughout the entire process. Everything was also very affordable which was unfortunately something we had to take into account. They held her viewing at the nearby church for us and everything went smoothly. I’m so glad they are who my family went with and I can’t thank them enough for being so genuine and caring in such a business.

How honors are coordinated

Military funeral honors are guaranteed at no cost for any veteran discharged under conditions other than dishonorable. The funeral home arranges the honors detail by contacting the deceased's last unit or the nearest active-duty installation of the appropriate branch and submitting the DD-214 to verify eligibility.

For requests less than 72 hours from service time, families can call the Department of Defense's expedited honors line at 1-877-MIL-HONR (1-877-645-4667). See the full honors protocol.
