I have known this funeral home since I was a little girl. Stocker's is where my most of my family and dear friends have had their services there. Always very kind, friendly and meeting and exceeding all expectations. Sherri Kay

My father had to prepay for his funeral a few years before he passed away. (He had an irrevocable trust with the funeral home to pay for his funeral). When he passed away, they seemed irritated that they had to honor this agreement. They were unprofessional and tried to not give us items that were paid for via the trust. We had to ask for the video slide show and the Bible. They also had his birthday printed incorrectly on his box of ashes. When I called them about this they didn’t even apologize, they just made an excuse as to why it was incorrect and said they would mail me a new nameplate with his corrected birthdate. I used this funeral home for my mother when she died and they acted much differently. The only thing I can think of that was different is that my Dad had paid years before and they weren’t happy to have to honor that agreement, which doesn’t make much sense, but it’s the only excuse I can come up with for their behavior. I wouldn’t go back to this place. The whole experience of losing my father felt worse because of how we were treated and how insignificant they made my himout to be. And no apologies for anything they did. Go somewhere else and give your family member the funeral they deserve.

How honors are coordinated

Military funeral honors are guaranteed at no cost for any veteran discharged under conditions other than dishonorable. The funeral home arranges the honors detail by contacting the deceased's last unit or the nearest active-duty installation of the appropriate branch and submitting the DD-214 to verify eligibility.

For requests less than 72 hours from service time, families can call the Department of Defense's expedited honors line at 1-877-MIL-HONR (1-877-645-4667). See the full honors protocol.
