I wanted to share how grateful my family & I are for how my mom was so well taken care of. Very professional, considerate & caring service from all staff. My mother was beautiful but thank you for helping her look her best on our worst day. They helped me display a bunch of photos & her favorite knick knacks near the casket. My mother wanted to be cremated and we weren’t sure that we could do a viewing and cremation but we rented the casket for the viewing and it was a beautiful service. We probably had 100+ people come through that day & 50+ stayed for the short service. People stood outside with the doors open, sat on the stairs & helped make the worst day of my life as bright and comfortable as possible. The whole process was made easier because of the staff. Paperwork was taken care of. We picked out beautiful pieces for my mom’s ashes. Thank you for taking care of us. I would recommend Schisler to anyone, specifically Bartholomew-Schisler in Nazareth.

I'm so glad I found this funeral home. I'd give 10 stars if they'd let me. From the very first phone call, Brooke was kind, caring, understanding and VERY helpful. Once I met with Adam, he did a great job at explaining everything to me and was patient with my numerous questions. Iver never done any of this before. After my mom passed, the first thing I had to do was contact a funeral home. When I saw they had 97 years in the business, the decision was easy, and it ended up being a great choice. I would recommend them to ANYONE who has a loved one that they want handled with dignity, caring, and respect. On top of all that, they even donate glasses and pacemakers to less fortunate people. Personally i think thats a wonderful and beautiful thing to do! Thank you Brook, Adam, and the entire Schisler family for all that have done for me and my family. I appreciate every one of you from top to bottom!

My husband's funeral was very complicated. It involved an interstate transfer. Schisler funeral homes handled this perfectly. They had to coordinate with the funeral home here. The funeral home here neglected to tell me of two important benefits on which I could get and one which my husband was entitled to. Aaron Schisler informed me of these benefits. I can not praise the way Schisler Funeral home handled this. They are the absolute best!

How honors are coordinated

Military funeral honors are guaranteed at no cost for any veteran discharged under conditions other than dishonorable. The funeral home arranges the honors detail by contacting the deceased's last unit or the nearest active-duty installation of the appropriate branch and submitting the DD-214 to verify eligibility.

For requests less than 72 hours from service time, families can call the Department of Defense's expedited honors line at 1-877-MIL-HONR (1-877-645-4667). See the full honors protocol.
