Dignity Memorial provided compassionate, professional, and respectful care during one of the most difficult times of my life. From the very beginning, their team treated my son and our family with dignity, kindness, and genuine empathy. They explained each step of the cremation process clearly and handled everything with great care, which gave me peace of mind when I needed it most. I am deeply grateful for their support, sensitivity, and the comfort they provided during such a painful moment.

My son died in a different state than we lived in. And Palmetto was so good about helping me out with everything I needed to do and know. I would highly recommend them.

My Brother in Law just passed away 2 days ago. This place would not allow my husband, his sister or his daughter to view his body. I called them and the lady answering the phone was very nice and said she would have them call me. I never got a return call. They told his wife that it was not permitted. She could only see him to ID his body. No compassion to his siblings and daughter.

How honors are coordinated

Military funeral honors are guaranteed at no cost for any veteran discharged under conditions other than dishonorable. The funeral home arranges the honors detail by contacting the deceased's last unit or the nearest active-duty installation of the appropriate branch and submitting the DD-214 to verify eligibility.

For requests less than 72 hours from service time, families can call the Department of Defense's expedited honors line at 1-877-MIL-HONR (1-877-645-4667). See the full honors protocol.
