The way my husbands funeral was handled was with love and kindness to another human being. We could not have asked more. The O’Guinn Family Funeral Home services met all our expectations in the handling of his remains. Not all family members were able to say their good byes at the hospital and they waited for them to do so at the funeral home. They helped with the obituary, the memorial cards, the thank you cards with envelopes. The beautiful candles and ashes for the family members, which were so happy to have. They were always there at our request for whatever was needed of them. I thank you with all my heart O’Guinn for all you do to comfort the living and the respect you show for the deceased.

I recently had to use O'Guinn Funeral Home to take care of my husband's cremation. It was a prepaid event that really didn't need a lot,. I have to admit that all the staff at O'Guinn's made everything so easy for me, and I appreciate it more than they could possibly know. You don't want to have to deal with decisions at the spur of the moment. I'm so glad we pre-planned things. Good on us for choosing such a wonderful business to take care of final arrangements for us. I couldn't be more satisfied with the end results.

As we said goodbye to my precious mom today, we have to take a moment to thank O’guinn Funeral Home staff. They did everything for us and more. Crystal & the rest of the staff not only made our final goodbyes to my mom as simple for us during our grief as possible, they truly cared for her like she was apart of their own families. From the planning process to handling specific details we just didn’t have in us at the time, to making my mom look as beautiful & at peace as possible, all I can say is wow - in the best way. Our family felt so much love & support from the O’Guinn staff, & gave us such a secure feeling of love and gratitude. Thank you, O’Guinn for making our families final goodbyes to our most special woman memorable in the best way. We cannot say enough good things.

How honors are coordinated

Military funeral honors are guaranteed at no cost for any veteran discharged under conditions other than dishonorable. The funeral home arranges the honors detail by contacting the deceased's last unit or the nearest active-duty installation of the appropriate branch and submitting the DD-214 to verify eligibility.

For requests less than 72 hours from service time, families can call the Department of Defense's expedited honors line at 1-877-MIL-HONR (1-877-645-4667). See the full honors protocol.
