Words cannot express our gratitude for the exceptional care Moloney Funeral Home provided for our mother’s homegoing. From the moment we first contacted them, Cynthia, Glenda, Marlene, Elvin and the whole Moloney Team guided us with immense compassion, grace, and professionalism. They handled every detail with such dignity, making a devastating time feel manageable. My mother looked absolutely peaceful and beautiful, which brought our family great comfort. Their team went above and beyond to ensure her final journey was honorable, respectful, and perfectly orchestrated. They treated us like family, and for that, we are eternally grateful. Highly recommend."

We worked with Moloney Funeral Home of Central Islip for my beautiful mother’s funeral during one of the most difficult times for our family. We are so grateful for the care and professionalism we received. Joy Robinson was absolutely wonderful. She was kind, compassionate, professional, and made the entire service run smoothly from start to finish. Anything we needed, she and her team were there to help. They greeted attendees, spoke with family and guests, gave clear instructions, and guided everyone through what was coming next. In the middle of deep grief and heartbreak, Joy treated our family with such gentleness, patience, and humanity. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process. Joy stayed in contact with me, answered questions, and made sure nothing was overlooked. She truly went above and beyond, even driving the hearse herself. Our family was very happy with her services and deeply appreciative of the respect and care shown to our loved one and to us. I would highly recommend Moloney Funeral Home of Central Islip, and especially Joy Robinson, to anyone in need of compassionate and professional funeral services.

How honors are coordinated

Military funeral honors are guaranteed at no cost for any veteran discharged under conditions other than dishonorable. The funeral home arranges the honors detail by contacting the deceased's last unit or the nearest active-duty installation of the appropriate branch and submitting the DD-214 to verify eligibility.

For requests less than 72 hours from service time, families can call the Department of Defense's expedited honors line at 1-877-MIL-HONR (1-877-645-4667). See the full honors protocol.
