Excellent Funeral Home, Handled the death of loved ones with care and respect. They are and have always been very professional for multiple family members, and close friends arrangements. While posting this I see other reviewers are highly upset over specific personnel. Having worked with the entire staff, I would surmise there may have been from some misconceptions on their end, as everyone at Maddox, especially their two Notaries Public have always taken the time to doublecheck everything before moving forward, and have always helped me fix any errors I may have made before signing anything. I highly recommend Maddox to anyone looking to prepare for the future, or are in immediate need of services now. 10/10 Quality, Time, and Respect.

Maddox has handled services professionally for decades. The services that I have attended there have all been respectful, professional, and beautiful. An important institution in Front Royal, for sure. I spoke with a young lady who works there recently who answered my questions promptly and professionally. I'd recommend Maddox Funeral Home to anyone.

This is the first Google review I've ever been compelled to write. This funeral home is the absolute premier standard for funeral homes. They set the bar. They were over an hour away from me and my father when he passed, but he was picked up, prepared, and transported 6 hours away one day after he passed. I worked with Torena throughout the process, and even for a few things months later. She was almost immediately responsive on anything and everything and very knowledgeable with great advice and always anticipated my needs. She used electronic means to speed things up and even had a certified death certificate next-day-aired to me out of state only 2 business days after my father passed. She gets things done quickly, effectively, professionally, and she is very kind. The price was very reasonable. Thank you, Torena and Maddox Funeral Home!

How honors are coordinated

Military funeral honors are guaranteed at no cost for any veteran discharged under conditions other than dishonorable. The funeral home arranges the honors detail by contacting the deceased's last unit or the nearest active-duty installation of the appropriate branch and submitting the DD-214 to verify eligibility.

For requests less than 72 hours from service time, families can call the Department of Defense's expedited honors line at 1-877-MIL-HONR (1-877-645-4667). See the full honors protocol.
