Glickler funeral home was so amazing, we recently used them for my father's funeral and cremation. Kevin was amazing and really treated us like family and truly cared. I was very scared to see my dad at the funeral because he was very sick when he passed and was almost unrecognizable, my 6 year old autistic son was very close to my dad and it took him about 10 mins to recognize him a few days before he passed, and it had only been almost 2 weeks since he had last seen him, but when we walked into the funeral home my dad looked amazing, it gave everyone the chance to see him exactly the way they remembered him and my son immediately recognized him as his pappy, and for that I am forever grateful. I hope it's a long, long time before we need their services again but when that time comes we will definitely use them.

I have had 6 experiences with this funeral home. No one wishes to deal with the loss of a loved one. However, Larry Glickler made each of those experiences as easy as possible on me and my family. He was there when we needed him and willing to answer any question or concern we had, no matter how small. I would highly recommend him

My husband passed yesterday, and I had called the day before to start the process, and all I had to do was make that one call and they were amazing. When he did pass, these people made a horrible situation bareable for my daughter and I. God Bless them for the work they do and how they genuinely CARE for each and every family. It is not an act for them it us sincere. I wish could give more than 5 stars.

The staff at Glickler was respectful of all of our wishes, and acted with kindness and compassion. I would 100% recommend them to anyone dealing with a loss!

If you are calling Glickler because you just lost a loved one and expect to be treated with respect, think again. While we had a lovely call with Kayla last night, our experience this morning was the exact opposite. The gentleman who answered the phone was downright rude and possessed zero compassion. He was dismissive, cold, and spoke with an air of impatience that is completely unacceptable for someone in the funeral industry. We do not live in the area and are trying to manage all of these difficult arrangements over the phone from the West Coast. Instead of offering guidance or support, this man’s hostile attitude and demeaning tone left my wife in tears. It is genuinely baffling how a business centered around helping grieving families can remain open while allowing staff to speak to people with such blatant cruelty. The most revealing part of this experience came when we called other funeral homes in the area. When we explained our situation and mentioned how poorly we had just been treated, the other directors knew exactly who we were talking about without us even naming the office. One even said it was the owner and they do not understand why the staff ever lets that man answer the phone. His reputation for being unprofessional is clearly well-known among his peers. Do your family a favor and steer clear of Glickler Funeral Home. You are already dealing with one of the worst things imaginable, and this man will only make your experience more painful

How honors are coordinated

Military funeral honors are guaranteed at no cost for any veteran discharged under conditions other than dishonorable. The funeral home arranges the honors detail by contacting the deceased's last unit or the nearest active-duty installation of the appropriate branch and submitting the DD-214 to verify eligibility.

For requests less than 72 hours from service time, families can call the Department of Defense's expedited honors line at 1-877-MIL-HONR (1-877-645-4667). See the full honors protocol.
