What families have said

From the moment we walked in, we were met with kindness, patience, and genuine compassion. Taylor Evans, in particular, is truly exceptional. Taylor treated our entire family with such care, dignity, and respect. Nothing ever felt rushed, and every question or concern was met with understanding and grace. You can tell this isn’t just a job for Taylor, it’s a calling. I would wholeheartedly recommend Evan’s Funeral Home to anyone in need of services, you will be cared for with empathy, respect, and genuine humanity

The services Evans provided were way beyond expectations. When some family members wanted to view my father before his cremation, I thought it was an unnecessary expense, but I am so glad we did that. Evans did such a fine job, I thought Dad was going sit up and talk to us. This allowed us to remember Dad as he was before his final decline. The displays of picture montages were incredible. Evans did an AMAZING job.

My family has been loyal to Evans for many years. Our most recent loss was made more difficult due to an unprofessional and unsympathetic interaction with Taylor Evans. Our family member that consulted with Ms. Evans was asking for clarification of services and was met with multiple derogatory remarks. This interaction complicated and added unnecessary stress to an already grieving person/family. On Evan's website they promise warmth and compassion in a professional atmosphere. Also, gentle guidance and support is promised. If you are promising this to grieving customers you should deliver, otherwise please choose another profession. True compassion is authentic. You can't give what you don't have.

From start to finish Evan’s group have been exceptional. The staff accommodated to our wishes and beliefs. They even went out of their way to assist in our Buddhist ceremony. I felt supported the whole time

How honors are coordinated

Military funeral honors are guaranteed at no cost for any veteran discharged under conditions other than dishonorable. The funeral home arranges the honors detail by contacting the deceased's last unit or the nearest active-duty installation of the appropriate branch and submitting the DD-214 to verify eligibility.

For requests less than 72 hours from service time, families can call the Department of Defense's expedited honors line at 1-877-MIL-HONR (1-877-645-4667). See the full honors protocol.
