“Well, I wasn't sure that posting a review for a funeral service was appropriate, but I feel that I need to. A death of a family member is one of the most traumatic events any of us will ever deal with. It's even more traumatic when it occurs with us in the home, expected or sudden. EMS, Dr's, and Police It's just another case number, but now what do we do? It's up to us to make arrangements. We have seen the "Dobies" homes and the Deputy told us that they were a family business and well respected. He helped us contact them, which he didn't have to. They came within the hour. They handled my Brother-in-arms with delicate personalized care. They noticed all of the military effects in the room and draped the stretcher with a flag. Mr. Tom Dolbies arrived just after they departed. He sat at the kitchen table and with family-like conversation collected the necessary information. He allowed his wife to come in the next day to complete the arrangements with a more composed mind. I attended that meeting and experienced an even higher level of compassion and guidance through all of the paperwork. Thank you Tom.”

“WOW ! These people went way way out of their way to serve our family's needs . I will not get into details but they were able to make changes after 9pm for the viewing at 9am the next day. They did all that was asked and then some . I live in PA. but if I die in Florida there home is my final home . There actions were as if the president was in there care. “One has to question its capability of this organization when its drivers have no respect for the rules of the road! Text while driving. Switch lanes without signaling. And, delay traffic by driving slowly in the fast lane. Just a few examples of a local business disrupting the lives of the community. Dobies should know that’s its vans are advertising unacceptable behavior. Think of how many have experienced such frustration and have stayed silent. As a consumer, you should make them pay for their arrogance!”

“The funeral for my younger sister was held at this funeral home, and while sure the funeral was nice, I feel like there was a complete disrespect for the wishes of my sister. My sister was in her early 20’s when she passed, and had no estate plan. However, she had made me her next of kin for medical purposes and blocked both parents from being able to go near her in a medical facility. Despite the funeral director being very aware of not only this, but the fact that I had to make the decision to even allow my parents in the room before making the decision to take my sister off life support, the funeral director helped my parents team up on me when deciding who the true next of kin would be, which was of course the parents that my sister did not trust whatsoever to make decisions for her. Needless to say, the only person she trusted was left to choose nothing about the funeral but the memorial cards, and it was a disgustingly stuffy funeral that my sister would’ve absolutely hated. Beyond that, now the only person she truly trusted to make decisions for her is stuck watching the people she trusted with nothing completely disrespect her wishes. Oh, I’d also like to add that it’s super creepy that Tom Dobies is going around giving $20’s to little girls and then standing behind their chair until even they get uncomfortable and scoot closer to their step mom. Not the best look man.”
