“The care and professionalism of the staff at Davis Greenlawn was exceptional and comforting to our family at a difficult time. We were guided through the process by Tyler with so much compassion and expertise that I cannot imagine choosing a better funeral service. My husband was a careful manager of the resources God entrusted to our family and that prompted me to customize our services with outside options. Tyler never once gave me a hard sale or pushed me to accept their products over options I found elsewhere. She patiently explained all that is involved with a burial in Texas and that was so helpful in making our decisions. I can imagine this kind, competent lady is a blessing to her own family and community as well as a credit to her profession. She was referred to me by our church Riverpointe Church of Richmond who works with her often. Thank you Davis Greenlawn from our whole family.”
“can't speak for the negative reviews or the bashing of employees at Davis Greenlawn. To each their own as far as opinion. But what I can tell you from my family personal experience that this place is absolutely amazing. My dad passed away unexpectedly. He had Parkinson's and for some reason or another God decided that it was his time. Ever since I was a little girl, I am 38 now, but when I was 5, 7, even 15 I remember passing through South 59 heading on whatever my dad's adventures were that Saturday - Polish towns in Texas, Hempstead, College Station, anywhere, and he always pointed and told me and my mom, "Thats where I want to be buried". I remember this. And I never knew why. I imagined because of the kept up green lawns, or the flowers, or the beauty you see with all the souls that have passed while driving by. And my mom told me, when he passed, "Your dad wanted to be buried there because he wanted everyone to see him!". Both my parents came from Poland in the late 1970s. They didn't have huge families. I am their only child. My dad went from being ok, to passing within a week. My husband made the call to Davis the night that my dad passed and the next day we met up with Joe to make plans for a service, a viewing, a burial, and of course it would have to follow our Catholic beliefs. I cannot say enough incredible things about Joe. From the moment we met him he was loving, compassionate, caring, quick to respond to any questions, concerns. Eager to help. Willing to help. Willing to listen. To give a helping hand. An ear to hear even our sorrows. And with that, Joe created the most beautiful service and burial for my dad. When I saw my dad in his casket, in his final resting stage, I was speechless. He looked incredible. I was shocked, because he became so sick that week before he passed and he was beautiful. Peaceful. Rested. And I could just cry. Thats all I could do. Because Joe and the staff at Davis were able to give me and my family the best gift ever with that. Joe went out of his way to contact our Catholic Church, he got ahold of a Deacon who we were very familiar with and he did my Dad's service and burial. Everything from the help to making his video obituary, the music my dad loved he was able to find and upload for me - the photo he chose for my Dad's memorial Blanket.. everything was perfect. Its hard to say anything is "PERFECT" in this world but Joe did a fantastic job and every time I have seen him from the moment my dad passed and even today, he has been so warm, so friendly, so easy going he feels like family to me. And as far as Kathy, she is absolutely a GEM. The sweetest soul and the most intuitive, caring, easygoing and productive woman I have ever met. She is on a roll and she is doing her job wonderfully. She took me and my family around the cemetery, because my daughter wanted my dad to be buried by a tree. She found the most amazing spot for him. I can't say enough about her either because words cannot express how fast and how productive she was able to handle arrangements for my Dad. And the same goes for Joe and ALL OF THE STAFF AT DAVIS GREENLAWN. I will be forever thankful for the care and the love they gave my dad and for the care and love they have given me and my family and undoubtedly will continue to give for years to come. Please don't entertain the negative reviews. I speak from the heart and I am so so so blessed for everything that everyone was able to accomplish for my father after he passed. Absolutely recommend them to anyone who needs to find peace and confidence knowing they are in the right hands. JOE you are AMAZING! KATHY, you are incredible. Staff at DAVIS GREENLAWN you rock!! Love, Maryann”
“I attended the service of Alex Martinez. The FDIC was Tyler. She was not only professional as a director but showed she was very compassionate at her job. The funeral was done in a timely and professional manner. The facility is in nice shape and very clean. Thank you Tyler and Greenlawn staff for all that you did. May God bless you all.”
“The cemetery is the primary one in the area thus our only option. Several family members are buried at this cemetery. Our experience with the coordinator Kathy has been difficult due to her unresponsive, inconsistent, and poor attention. It is painful enough dealing with a death but to meet with a person who is so unprofessional to coordinate a barrial and grave stone placement is unnecessary. Her focus is on the payment not any coordination! It truly requires significant patience on the families side. I am not sure if she is the owner as I have not been able to talk to a supervisor. I am given the runaround. It is time for Kathy to retire!”
“If 0 stars existed I would definitely mark that! I understand places have "rules" but dang can it be fair all around the cemetery?! I feel they pick and choose who feelings they want to hurt at the time of them raiding graves. While all the front of the cemetery still has all kind of decorations up, even from Christmas. I would definitely think again on laying your loved ones to rest here. Also, the picture shown in one review is not how it looks when they lay them to rest. They must be related to the staff or the new owners. BE FAIR GREENLAWN! If you're going to rob graves, rob all of them smh!”
