Connally Compton handled the services for my mom and our family was very pleased with their services. They were very kind and patient during such a hard time for us. We were never rushed and they made sure everything was handled as we wanted. Thank you to the entire staff for making something so difficult just a little easier.

Throughout the entire process the staff were all compassionate, considerate and knowledgeable and walked us through the planning process. Bobby Drake did an excellent job of helping us plan the celebration of life for our Mom. We are very grateful for the excellent service.

Pleasant experience considering it's not something most people care to think about. Connally Compton handled my father's service in December of 2024 and everything was handled very professionally.

I cannot compliment and thank the staff at Connally Compton enough on the way they treated us and our mother with the upmost respect and care. Angela, in particular, was so kind, understanding and made us feel comfortable with the hardest thing we've ever had to do. The entire staff was careful to make sure we always knew what what going on, why it was happening and made sure we felt supported at every step in the process. Thank you, again, for helping us celebrate our mother, she was given the celebration of her life that she deserved.

We were disappointed with the furnishings and upkeep of the Connally Compton Location. It had obviously neglected exterior maintenance for many years. The interior was darker than we wanted, the keyboard was broken, and the auditorium was really dark as well. We asked if the lights could be brighter and were told they are set and couldn't be adjusted. We ended up having our mom's celebration at their Cole Funeral Home location in McGregor and loved the atmosphere, intimacy and the wonderful staff. It was a great match for the celebration we wanted for our mom!

How honors are coordinated

Military funeral honors are guaranteed at no cost for any veteran discharged under conditions other than dishonorable. The funeral home arranges the honors detail by contacting the deceased's last unit or the nearest active-duty installation of the appropriate branch and submitting the DD-214 to verify eligibility.

For requests less than 72 hours from service time, families can call the Department of Defense's expedited honors line at 1-877-MIL-HONR (1-877-645-4667). See the full honors protocol.
