Ciavarelli Family Funeral Home is a very professional and extremely well organized operation. Each member of the family business gave me excellent care and service. They are all upstanding and attentive and were willing to assist me with all of my questions, concerns and needs. Walking through the funeral process alone and for the first time, I was well attended to. In addition, their response time after hours was impeccable. Ciavarelli's reception and answering service was excellent. Considering I had to do much of my funeral service, burial, and Catholic Mass planning remotely from California and with the time difference from Eastern time to Pacific time, the process ran smoothly because of the entire family's ability to communicate effectively and cooperatively. When I finally arrived in Pennsylvania, I was welcomed by the Funeral Home and treated very kindly, which was comforting. Bill, Andrea and Chris each performed their respective roles incredibly well, and the entire celebration of my dad's life went off seamlessly. Thank you so much Ciavarelli family!

From the moment we entered the door until the end of dad's services the whole Ciaverelli family took amazing care of us. They listened to all our concerns and took care of them all. They were kind and caring and very professional. The day couldn't have been any more beautiful. They made dad look amazing and took great care of him.

My family and I felt the warmth and caring feeling from the first phone call made to Ciavarelli Family Funeral Home as we are from Northern New Jersey. It is a professional and extremely well-organized operation. We met with Bill who walked us through the entire process, answered all of our questions, addressed our concerns and offered us advise. It was a tough time for our family as my stepfather suffered a lot towards the end of his life but when it was time for the viewing, Andrea made sure looked absolutely handsome as if he was just asleep. Our family appreciated the caring, respectfulness and how the entire Ciavarelli family made sure all went seamlessly. Thank you Bill and the Ciavarelli Family! The Vega and Ramos Family

How honors are coordinated

Military funeral honors are guaranteed at no cost for any veteran discharged under conditions other than dishonorable. The funeral home arranges the honors detail by contacting the deceased's last unit or the nearest active-duty installation of the appropriate branch and submitting the DD-214 to verify eligibility.

For requests less than 72 hours from service time, families can call the Department of Defense's expedited honors line at 1-877-MIL-HONR (1-877-645-4667). See the full honors protocol.
