Ive used Buranich Funeral Home for my brother, mother, and most recently my father. Every time I’ve coordinated with them, they have been incredibly professional, caring and attentive to our needs as a family. Sam and Gino have especially been very helpful and proactive through the whole process every time. I would recommend them to anyone who needs funeral services for their family.

Buranich did an amazing job. They made a difficult time easy. We were walked through each step with patience, kindness and exceptional organization. The flowers and photographs were displayed well throughout the room and we loved the way the slide show came together. Communication with the florist, church and cemetery was seamless.

I can attest to Buranich's professional and first class service for my mother's funeral. They did an outstanding job on multiple fronts and had great follow-up as well. We wanted a local area funeral home close to my dad's house in Camillus. Buranich was not only well-located and accessible but also exceeded our expectations for their accommodations. Matt, Sam and their team made us feel at right at home while responding to all our requests during what was, of course, a difficult time for my family. I would recommend them to anyone in the area, they will make sure you are well taken care of.

Buranich did an excellent job start to finish when my mom passed. To begin with, 2 years ago mom and my sister and I met with them and made arrangements according to mom's wishes. Mom pre-paid into an account recommended by Buranich, and when she passed our expenses that exceeded the original planning were under $2000. The entire staff at Buranich were professional and very caring. Our family is very pleased with every aspect of their service. A special thank you to Matt for his attention to every detail.

The entire staff at Buranich Funeral Home are amazing to deal with. From the pre planning stage earlier this year to the services and funeral everything was done with the upmost care and concern for the family of the deceased and the deceased person. Gino and Sam are just the nicest most caring people and we are forever grateful for their guidance with this difficult process.

How honors are coordinated

Military funeral honors are guaranteed at no cost for any veteran discharged under conditions other than dishonorable. The funeral home arranges the honors detail by contacting the deceased's last unit or the nearest active-duty installation of the appropriate branch and submitting the DD-214 to verify eligibility.

For requests less than 72 hours from service time, families can call the Department of Defense's expedited honors line at 1-877-MIL-HONR (1-877-645-4667). See the full honors protocol.
