My dad got to go to heaven at 1 am Christmas morning. Mark Brown was very attentive to our needs, he came right over when he was called. Through the process of writing the obituary and program Cassidy was very helpful and made sure it was just how we wanted it. The staff at Brown Mortuary gave us some normalcy during a very difficult time for us. Everything went smoothly, and they reassured us along the way. Our family is so very thankful to the Services Brown family Mortuary offered us we will always be grateful and thankful we chose to work with them.

I cannot say enough good things about Mark and Brown Family Mortuary. My Nephew unfortunately decided to take his own life and I reached out to Brown Family Mortuary. I was calling from out of state and just looked up Mortuaries on Google. Mark answered right away, even though it was late in the day and the other mortuary I called had already switched over to an answering service. Mark was caring and incredibly helpful from the beginning. Over the two weeks that I called with so many questions Mark was always so responsive. Their pricing is incredibly reasonable and straightforward, no hidden costs. Mark truly wants to help. I have worked with other mortuary’s in the past as I have supported many families through stillbirth with my job and Mark was by far the most responsive. In the instance of death you do not want to work with a big company, you want personal service and Mark does exactly that. Mark thank you so much for everything.

My mother in law passed away in November 2018, and the Brown mortuary was called. To our surprise Mark Brown appeared to pick up our Ruby. I was not only thrilled to see a familiar face, but Mark handled ruby with such tenderness and care, I knew she was in good hands. Mark handled all of the particulars with patience, kindness, and was incredibly affordable. On the day of the funeral service, Mark stayed with us, and assisted in blessing the gravesite, as my husband was too choked up to speak. Thank you Mark, you did an amazing job with Ruby, and you are a kind and loving man. God Bless You.

How honors are coordinated

Military funeral honors are guaranteed at no cost for any veteran discharged under conditions other than dishonorable. The funeral home arranges the honors detail by contacting the deceased's last unit or the nearest active-duty installation of the appropriate branch and submitting the DD-214 to verify eligibility.

For requests less than 72 hours from service time, families can call the Department of Defense's expedited honors line at 1-877-MIL-HONR (1-877-645-4667). See the full honors protocol.
