They can also arrange for military funeral honor teams to act as pallbearers if requested. Eligibility for these honors extends to active duty military members, those in the Selected Reserve, and former military members who served on active duty or completed at least one term of enlistment in the Selected Reserve under conditions other than dishonorable. Eligibility is typically established with a DD Form 214 or other discharge documents.”
