They have been the service provider for my entire family. No matter the unique need we had with each one, they professionally, and compassionately, took the best care of us. Love them all.

I want to thank everyone at Bodkin Funeral Home for the absolutely amazing job they have done helping my extended family bring a family member from Wichita Ks to Milan for burial in Trenton. From the moment we contacted them we didn’t have to worry about a thing. They made arrangements to get our loved one from the hospital in Wichita to a local extremely nice and caring mortuary who did the necessary activities and then arranged for and transported our loved one to the airport for the flight to Memphis. bodkin staff met the plane and transported to Milan. They contacted the Trenton cemetery for us and arranged everything. I know a death especially an unexpected one is never easy on the family there are logistics and expenses involved. Everyone at Bodkin have gone over and above and with very fair and reasonable costs. No one tried to “up charge “ or in anyway over charge. Being out of state this could have been very different. So in my entire family’s opinion Bodkin Funeral Home staff was a terrific choice for everything we needed at this difficult time. Thank you Gentlemen from the bottom of our hearts. It would be helpful if Viewing and Service in same day for family out of town. It seems the viewing at night and then Service next day is for the benefit of Bodkin as they make more Money that way. We will see this weekend if that holds true. Family hurting and they stick it to them for more money. My Opinion and I stick by it.

I want to thank everyone at Bodkin Funeral Home for the care of my wife's funeral and burial. All we dealt with were very congenial to our wishes. Also for their wait for the stubborn insurance companies delay to act on our wishes.

How honors are coordinated

Military funeral honors are guaranteed at no cost for any veteran discharged under conditions other than dishonorable. The funeral home arranges the honors detail by contacting the deceased's last unit or the nearest active-duty installation of the appropriate branch and submitting the DD-214 to verify eligibility.

For requests less than 72 hours from service time, families can call the Department of Defense's expedited honors line at 1-877-MIL-HONR (1-877-645-4667). See the full honors protocol.
