“I originally sought out Birdsong for transport of my husband from Houston to Seguin, TX. I spoke with Caryn who was more than compassionate and understanding. She even connected with me while my husband was in hospice to check in with me to see how I was doing. Lo and behold, I then needed Birdsong for cremation services, instead. I was then connected with Paige, who guided me every step of the way. It is hard enough losing a loved one. To feel supported and comforted with gentleness during this time helped with the entire process. I recommend Birdsong to anyone looking for end of life services.”
“From the initial call to set up services prior to my mother’s passing to receiving her ashes, Birdsong was amazing. Every question was answered. All the staff were wonderful, including our case manager, Peyton. My mother and I were treated with dignity and respect. I would highly recommend Birdsong to anyone considering direct cremation.”
“I had the most wonderful experience with Birdsong. We were in Texas from Minnesota as my husband was having surgery there. Unfortunately, my husband unexpectedly passed away a few days following surgery. I had contacted Birdsong prior to him passing and Peyton was so kind in helping me obtain information I would need when the time came for us to make decisions. After my husband passed I talked with Peyton about what needed to be done and she was so helpful and so kind. It made the process easier even though the situation was awful. We did pay extra for services for an expedited cremation which did take place. Unfortunately, due to some travel constraints we weren't able to stay long enough to pick up his remains so we opted to have them mailed home which went very smooth. Overall I was so happy I came across Birdsong as they were the first to come up on Google for me. I couldn't have asked for a better place or person to help me during this time. Thank you Peyton for all your help.”
“During a time when emotions are high and you're grieving the loss of your loved one they were so helpful and understanding. I truly don't believe the process could have been made any easier. Thank you for your kindness!”
“My husband passed away after being in a coma for a couple of weeks. My parents paid for my husband's cremation since I couldn't really afford it. They chose Birdsong. The cost shows you the quality you'll get, to be honest. The communication is extremely lacking. I had to call multiple times to find out if they had him, when we could pay so he could be cremated, when I could pick him up, etc. I had to call twice for a work letter. Some of how long it took is not their fault, the doctor took 4 days to sign my husband's death certificate, but they did not reach out with updates. I had to call them. And if you want your loved one's remains moved to an urn from the receptacle they come in, they'll try to charge you for that too, even though they aren't the ones who move the remains if you're in Tyler! I only gave Birdsong 2 stars because of the ease of cost, but again, I got what we paid for. I was so genuinely upset by their lack of care and communication, it made everything worse for myself and my son. I should not have to call for updates, that should be a given with the type of business you're in. I also never received my husband's digital fingerprints. You literally have to call them constantly and I just gave up. I'd honestly rather never hear from anyone from Birdsong again.”
