“Our mother passed away 4 months ago on February 19th. She always thought a lot of Mr. EZ Benefield and wanted us to use the Benefields in Lineville for her service. Had we known how we would be treated we would have used someone else. Momma didn't get a funeral procession because Davaid Benefield said we couldn't have one because it was a safety issue. I had to leave the grave side early in order to pick up the potted plants. Before they got put out on the porch. Mommas book was just thrown in the floor as you go in the front door with the flowers. My brother was ask by David if they could go ahead and lower momma into the ground and get the grave covered so they could get out of there. It was rushed and so uncaring. We were charged $195 for mommas hair and makeup which myself and a family friend did. We will never recommend them to anyone. It was horrible.”
“Our family has dealt with David and Lawson Benefield on many different occasions. On two occasions, it has been due to an immediate family member’s death. At other times, our interactions have been social or just in passing in the community. My point is…it doesn’t matter….they treat us and those around us with the utmost respect and kindness. They are the same whether out in front or behind the scenes. And when the chips are down and a loved one has passed, I wouldn’t think of using anyone besides them. Their sincerity, kindness, and caring are real. That is extremely hard to find in this day and time. No one can please everyone…..but they truly care and have honest compassion while trying to meet your needs in the dark valleys of life.”
“Words cannot express how grateful my wife & I are for David, Kim, Lawson, & Kevin here at this funeral home. They blessed us with Christlike kindness & a cremation gift. Thank you all so much. 100% recommended!”
“If I could give them a 0 or negative I surely would. My whole life that is where I told everyone that's where I wanted to be taken when I go. My whole family felt that way until February 2023. That is NO Longer my wishes. Honestly I would take my dog to them. Mr EZ was the heart of Benefield Funeral Home and now that he is gone there is NO Heart in this place. We were told one price when Mama passed and charged $1000 more . Her undergarments & clothes were taken over there with extra undergarments. When I ask for the extras back I was told they were put up for further use. DO NOT USE THEM UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF!!! I could say LOTS more but at this point I'm still angry over this because our Mama deserved way better.”
“I wouldn't recommend anyone going to this one in Linville the guy runs it was very rude to me and someone of my family members the day my precious brother passed away, it was very hard on me that but he didn't care all I wanted to do it see my brother, I had to wait for hours till his son got there I was so heartbroken, of I have to give a rating I rate 0”
