⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five-Star Review for Bacarella Funeral Home During one of the most difficult times my family has ever faced, Bacarella Funeral Home provided a level of professionalism, compassion, and genuine care that exceeded every expectation we had. From the moment we walked through the doors, the staff made us feel supported, understood, and gently guided through each step. The attention to detail in carrying out every part of the plan we put in place was extraordinary. Nothing was overlooked. Every request was handled with dignity and respect, and every element came together seamlessly. What could have been an overwhelming and stressful process was made simple, clear, and comforting because of their guidance. They anticipated our needs, answered every question with patience, and made sure we felt cared for at every turn. A very special thank you goes to Bill Bacarella, whose compassion and kindness were truly remarkable. His calming presence, empathy, and dedication brought us real comfort during a time when we needed it most. It is clear that he approaches his work as a calling, not just a profession. I wholeheartedly recommend Bacarella Funeral Home to anyone seeking a funeral service provider that is professional, attentive, compassionate, and deeply committed to honoring your loved one with grace and respect. They made a heartbreaking moment a little easier to bear, and for that, we are profoundly grateful. The McPeek Family.

I wish I would’ve moved my husband to a different funeral home. We had one time to make his final goodbye perfect and it was nothing short of a heartbreaking disaster. The employee continually talked about my husbands ex in laws( she was their cousin) I expressed multiple times I was uncomfortable including telling Bill this but I was disregarded. The employee made a joke about a piece of my deceased husbands apparel stating oh well he can haunt me. I specifically wrote out the obituary, the employee decided to add things that she remembered from years ago. Luckily I read this before it was published. She told the ex in-laws when we were coming to make arrangements, none of their concerns considering that had not spoken to him in years. The employee told us she had family obligations to tell them. This same employee did not order one of the ribbons for the flower arrangement, so during the service they come running in through people up to the casket to add. Last names were spelled wrong after I clearly wrote everything out to avoid any of this. During the 1st hour of visitation for immediate family only, this same employee escorted my husband’s ex mother in law in. There were 6 mini urns left to take some remains for my husband’s family as I knew it would be a while before I could. This said employee took out extra to give to other family members without talking to me about this. And yes I have all of this in emails. The owners response was I could contact family and go retrieve my husbands remains, but you did get the bulk of them….yes his exact words. They have crushed our day that was supposed to be perfect

Update- They did make it right and i updated my rating. Thanks! Baccarellas said we had until today (Saturday) to provide pictures for my father's funeral on Tuesday. Apparently, my siblings went ahead and sent pictures and music they wanted and no one said a word to me! Baccarellas made the flash drive Thursday all the while, I still thought I had until Saturday. They said they "assumed" we spoke and agreed. Not all families speak and Baccarellas should have reached out to all 3 of the children. I was at the initial meeting and everything on Thursday morning! They had my contact information... Now, my pictures of my dad are not included. Horrible experience and we haven't even had the funeral yet.

Jeff Rupp, Dee Maurice and other staff were phenomenal and very sympathetic. They made the arrangements, from funeral home to burial site of this difficult passing of my wife much easier. A true professional organization!

How honors are coordinated

Military funeral honors are guaranteed at no cost for any veteran discharged under conditions other than dishonorable. The funeral home arranges the honors detail by contacting the deceased's last unit or the nearest active-duty installation of the appropriate branch and submitting the DD-214 to verify eligibility.

For requests less than 72 hours from service time, families can call the Department of Defense's expedited honors line at 1-877-MIL-HONR (1-877-645-4667). See the full honors protocol.
