“We are Jewish and when we recently lost a beloved family member we turned to the Abraham L Green & Son Funeral home in Fairfield, based on research I conducted online. (I am abbreviating as ALG below.) Our extended family had in the past used a well-known establishment based in NYC with a branch in Westchester county, but I was not impressed with the home and its service. Finding Abraham L Green was a godsend. Not only is this funeral home beautifully run and perfectly maintained, but Jonathan Green (now the son in "Son") is expert, caring, and an exceptional human being--just what a family needs at such a time. From the moment we reached out to ALG, Jonathan was on top of everything, kind, helpful, and wise way beyond his years. Jonathan may be young for a funeral director, but he is born to this work: a wonderful listener, ready with intelligent and critical suggestions, careful to read the moods of his clients. The home itself is a sunny, clean, tasteful environment. Everything we could have needed was available to us and provided with no slip-ups or glitches anywhere during the process. At the graveside service in Westchester (heavily attended), we also knew we were in the best possible hands. I cannot imagine feeling better about a funeral home at such a difficult time.
